and i am SO excited! =D

My New Found Passion.

In my Effective Communication class( performing arts), we are told to play diff roles every week and we'll be tested on our body language, vocal projection and expression. today, i acted as a maid. a maid who was forced to have sex with her male master. she bore his child yet he didnt wanna have anything to do with it. his mother threw him out of the house and he gave her 5 dollars to survive for life. 5 DOLLARS. 

for the first time, i was very moved by this character and i really was excited in playing her. i realised that when i'm on stage..i lose myself to the character. i care bout no one or anything around me but only the character. and today.. i was so into her that i cried while playing that part. it shocked me on how much i felt for this character. but i loved it. i love acting. i love losing myself to characters that are this beautiful and meaningful to play. 

i have found what truly makes me happy. i have found a new passion.

The Engagement 140309

i must say, after months of planning. the whole thing turned out PERFECT! tents were set up, center pieces done( thanks to Floristika in Bangsar) and the music was ready! the night was prepared and so were we! 

the night before Sat( March 14), the uncles and of course my brother went and got some booze. okay..SOME is an understatement. it was prolly around 20 bottles of u name it! we had JD, bacardi, Wine, 3 diff types of Beer, and Vodka! we drank and laughed the night away. we started around 10pm and finished yapping and drinking at 4.30am. and the worst part, i was "HAPPY" but not DRUNK! why??! 

anyways, that sat morning..we got the center pieces done and prepared the whole canopy outside. tried very hard to make the Garden Theme work. and safe to say, IT DID! it was VERY exciting to see the glow in Chech's and Manny's eyes when the saw the whole thing lighted up. it looked BEAUTIFUL. as manny walked in, i asked him, "how you feeling?" and he answered " uh..ookay" haha! nerves.. he looked very Segak! 

the whole ceremony went on very well indeed. everyone in the family accepted the new way of an engagment whole heartedly and it was nice to see everyone had a good time. i know i did. 

i wanna thank ALL THE COUSINS who helped out and made that night happen the way it did. it was FANTASTIC. these are some photos i love! <3

The Bucket List

Yes i know, I'm LATE. But come on, i managed to only download it now. this is one movie that everyone SHOULD WATCH. what is it about?

"Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) has worked hard his whole life to build his hospital corporation into a Fortune 500 company. As CEO, Edward is on top of the world when cancer comes knocking on his door. In the hospital, Edward is put into a room with another cancer patient, Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman). The doctors have given both the news that they have six-months to a year to live. Carter just blocks out the bad news and continues watching Jeopardy on TV, because he knows all the answers. When Carter was young, he was able to attend the first year of college, but when his wife got pregnant, Carter found work as an automobile mechanic. Carter remembers that in one of his classes the professor gave them an assignment to fill out a Bucket List of the things you want to do in life before you kick the bucket. Carter starts writing his list of things to do. Edward sees the list and writes some other things to do like skydiving and race car driving. They both decide to leave the hospital and embark on fulfilling all the things on the bucket list."

First Week of the Entire Year!

3rd March-4th march 2009

This was the first week of my time here in Taylor's School of Communication. i must say it was definitely SOME week! first of all, finding my classrooms wasnt as hard as i had imagined. quite simple once you knew where each blocks were. anyhoo, then i found out that i only had classes on Wed & Thurs as there were no tutorials the first week. the subjects that i'm doing for this sem seemed SO interesting!

Subject 1 : Public Relations 1

Basically this is the introduction to PR. Product image, upholding a company's name and so forth. Advertising basically. ALOT of reading though..but really LOTSA fun! They will also be bringing PR people in the industry to come give us talks.

Subject 2 : Communication, Computers & Society

This is sorta like Information Systems in Ausmat. Learning about computers and the communication of it to the society. Also, an introduction to Mass Comm. We had to buy our own headset because we're gonna have to be communicating with ppl and making our own videos/movies. haha!

Subject 3 : Communication: Rhetoric & Reasoning

Critical Thinking! Thats exactly what it is! Thank you Ms Ruma & Mr Jay! haha. we HAVE to CLOSE our rooms and make sure its safe before we start discussing our topics. Some of the topics we do can be very disturbing, upsetting and highly provocative! The first time our lecturer came in, we talked about...

" There is No God. So shut up and move on. "

You could see the anger coming out of some of the ppl in class. thats when our lecturer said:

" You are now entering the Media Industry. You are going to have an open mind about topics like this. Everyone has their own Opinions. You have to Listen to them and make NO judgement"

And, guess what we have to research on this week to present next week in class? PORN.
YES ppl, i'm NOT joking. we have to do an Intellectual study about this Money Making Industry. haha! i tell you, THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE HECK OF A CLASS!

Subject 4: Effective Communication

i must say this is my MOST favourite subject! Its PERFORMING ARTS. =D Basically what we have is a given script and we have to go on stage and present it! ACTING/DANCING/SINGING!
